A beautiful old Mallorquin house dating back over 100 years and set in the tranquil countryside of Orient near Bunyola.
This 3 bedroom house retains all the old characteristics including exposed wooden beams; large working open fire; original kitchen with old stove and sinks; beautiful enormous wooden entrance doors (complete with antique large church style key). The current owners have replaced some ceiling and support joists in the first reception room, but matching the character of the building.
Upstairs are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an adjoining dressing room of 13m2, which with reorganisation could be another bedroom or a good size bathroom.
There is also a second room alongside the stairs of appx 13m2 that could be a further bedroom.
The kitchen is appx 5m2 with an adjoining room that was the pantry area of old (4m2). Currently used for the refrigerator and washing machine. The kitchen itself retains an old oven with more modern hob top. The two original sink units are still here. This could be modernised but it would be nice to do so retaining some of the original features. The cooking is by gas supplied by bottles.
The main sitting/living room to the back of the house is the place to curl up in front of the superb open fire place or fling open the doors and enjoy the patio and garden in the summer. The main bathroom and toilet is accessed from this room as well as a large storage room. The living room is an ample 20m2+.
The garden behind is enclosed and intimate with the space behind this house and the house alongside - approximately 300m2. This could easily facilitate a swimming pool of a good size. There is a wood shed in the garden with the hot water boiler and storage space for the gas bottles that supply this.
The whole feel of the house is antique charm with nooks and crannies perfect for a tasteful refurbishment. The rooms if reorganised and opened up could create a spacious living area without losing the character.
The front of the building is an impressionable stone facade with space for two cars to park in this cul-de-sac road. The views to the mountains alongside are beautiful.
There are two restaurants in this small village and several 4 & 5 star rural hotels - but little else in the way of services. Bunyola is the next largest village a few kilometres away. With Palma 25 minutes by car approximately 32km distance.
A lovely ongoing project that would produce a spacious cosy home to enjoy the tranquility and closeness to the countryside.
